Chi square was used to test the hypotheses at a significant level of P<0.05. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Data were collected with a self-administered questionnaire. A total of 1774 respondents which comprised of traders in some selected markets in Ibadan were randomly selected. The study was a cross-sectional descriptive survey. The study also aimed to help reduce the susceptibility of the disease thereby contributing to a decrease in the prevalence of Covid-19. The study aimed at finding out the knowledge and perceived susceptibility of traders towards the prevention of covid-19 pandemic and to suggest ways in which the pandemic can be prevented. It is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered corona virus which is currently spreading worldwide and is considered a pandemic disease.
